This Privacy Policy explains how NJC Enterprises collects, uses, and shares information through njclement.com, including the AI assistant and the contact form.

By using this site, you should assume that your visits, chat messages, and form submissions may be processed by service providers and reviewed by us for business, security, and site-improvement purposes.

Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, contact-form messages, project details, and anything you type into the AI assistant.

We also collect technical and usage information, including pages viewed, browser and device details, approximate location, referral source, cookies, chat-session identifiers, and similar analytics or security data.

AI Assistant and Retained Chat Logs

AI assistant chats are sent to AI service providers for processing and are stored so we can review what visitors ask about, troubleshoot issues, improve the site, understand project interest, and protect the service from abuse.

Chat logs may include your prompts, model responses, tool outputs, and related technical metadata. Do not submit passwords, API keys, health information, financial account data, trade secrets, or anything you need treated as confidential.

Analytics and Tracking

Optional Google Analytics follows the country and preference rules described below. Use Analytics preferences near the footer to change your choice. Declining analytics does not prevent using the AI assistant.

Analytics uses first-party visitor/session cookies and receives approved public page categories, bounded public-link clicks, inquiry submission outcomes, and assistant started, completed, failed, or interrupted events. It does not receive chat text, tool results, contact details, page queries, URL fragments, or private writing URLs. The Google tag runs only when analytics is permitted and uses pseudonymous first-party visitor/session cookies. Referral metadata is restricted to known public origins; unknown referral hosts, detailed referral paths and campaign/query values are excluded. Withdrawal stops new collection; events already sent cannot be recalled.

A first-party cookie remembers your analytics choice for six months. Separate cookies support biome preference, chat session continuity, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and basic site operations.

Country Lookup

When country-based analytics is enabled, Country.is estimates your country from your IP address to decide whether to display the initial analytics prompt. If no saved analytics choice or privacy signal recognized by the server already settles permission, the server sends only your IP address over HTTPS to api.country.is. It does not forward cookies, account identifiers, messages, page contents, or page URLs. The application does not save or log the lookup IP or send it to Google Analytics. Country.is states that it does not log requests; that statement is the provider's published practice.

When country-based analytics is enabled, a best-effort United States result permits basic analytics without an initial prompt. Every other country, an unknown result, or a failed lookup requires opt-in. Saved rejection and Global Privacy Control take precedence, and footer Analytics preferences let you decline or change your choice. IP location can reflect a VPN or proxy and does not establish your physical location.

Agent-Assisted Communications

agent@njclement.com and related inboxes may be administered, triaged, summarized, drafted, or otherwise processed by automated systems, AI agents, service providers, and human operators.

Messages sent to us are not private, privileged, or confidential. Do not send sensitive personal information, secrets, credentials, regulated data, or confidential business information unless we have a separate written agreement covering that information.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to respond to inquiries, operate and secure the site, understand what visitors care about, improve the AI assistant and site content, evaluate project fit, debug errors, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.

Service Providers and Sharing

We share information with service providers that help run the site and business, including AI processing providers, analytics providers, email providers, hosting providers, and other infrastructure or security vendors.

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse, or as part of a business transfer.

Retention

We keep chat logs, contact submissions, analytics data, and technical records for as long as reasonably useful for the purposes above, unless a longer period is needed for security, legal, tax, dispute, or business-record reasons.

If you want a message deleted or have a privacy question, contact us. We may need enough information to identify the relevant record, and some deletion requests may be limited by backups, legal obligations, service-provider retention, or security needs.

Your Choices

You can choose not to use the AI assistant or the contact form. You can also control some cookies or analytics tracking through your browser settings, provider privacy tools, or extensions.

International Visitors

This site is operated from the United States and is intended for U.S.-based business and professional audiences. We do not specifically target people in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions with separate privacy regimes.

If you are located outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. If you are not comfortable with this, do not use the AI assistant, the contact form, or email links on this site.

Children

This site is intended for business and professional audiences. It is not directed to children under 13, and children should not submit personal information through the site.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards for the site and its service providers, but no internet service is perfectly secure. Do not send information that you cannot risk being disclosed.

Changes

We may update this policy when the site, service providers, tracking, or legal requirements change. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
